In July 2023, REWE Group took a bold step toward sustainability by eliminating printed leaflets, aiming to save resources and reduce its carbon footprint. To ensure a seamless transition for customers to digital channels (such as the offer page on our website), our UX team led the overhaul of REWE’s digital platforms.

Objectives
The key objective was to replace the traditional paper leaflets with a compelling digital experience that caters to user needs, drives engagement, and reinforces REWE’s position as a leader in sustainable retail communication.
My Role
As the UX Team Lead, I was the first cheerleader of the outstanding designers, giving direction and leading the overarching execution of this digital transformation.

Using data, we personalized offers based on user preferences / location, creating a relevant and engaging shopping experience.

The offer page tried to refer users to our market-focused app – creating a holistic experience throughout.
